Anastasia Beverly Hills Prism Palette: 5 ways to wear

Did I need a new eyeshadow palette? No. Did I buy one anyway? Well, Beauty Bay had a sale on so I felt like I HAD to buy the Prism Palette, it was basically free.

Let’s just take a moment to appreciate how beautiful the shades in this palette are. Unusual, yes, but beautiful just the same.

Similar to it’s sister palette, Modern Renaissance, the shadows in Prism blend like a dream. The shimmery shades are vibrant, even more impressive when applied wet, and the matte shades are creamy, soft and pigmented (but not TOO pigmented). The only shade that I had an issue with was Osiris (used in look five below). It had such a dry texture and was a pain to blend, so I’d skip using this one again.

I’ve seen a fair few complaints about this palette’s colour combination online. Lots of people think it’s hard to come up with eye looks using just this palette alone because it’s filled with such a huge range of interesting shades. So I challenged myself to create five different looks, making sure that I got use out of every shade in the palette. I skipped on the liner and lashes for these so you can see how the shadows really look. Here’s what I came up with, and the lipsticks i decided to pair with each look:
