This purchase was totally Superdrug’s fault… these were on offer for £3.99 each and I couldn’t resist!
I’m yet to try the face masks from the L’Oréal Pure Clay range, but I’ve heard really good things. I’ve got so many masks on the go at the minute, so thought I’d give these a try first.
I picked up the Detox Wash for clarifying and detoxifying, the Glow Scrub for brightening and exfoliating and the Purity Wash for purifying and mattifying. For info, I have suuuuper oily, dehydrated skin.
Detox Wash: 3/5
After a lazy Sunday cleaning the house and watching Netflix in my pyjamas, I decided to try the Detox Wash first to give my skin a deep clean. I though it was going to be really thick and hard to wash off, but it actually has a nice, thin consistency that foams up with water, and smells really fresh. I enjoyed the process of using this, but the dry patches on my face felt a bit more prominent after… nothing a good facial oil couldn’t fix though! I’ll save this one for days when my dry patches aren’t quite as bad.
Glow Scrub: 4/5
Because my face felt a bit on the dry side (dry and oily, worst skin combo ever!!), I chose to try the Glow Scrub next and loved it! I usually use liquid exfoliator, so was a bit worried about this scrub being harsh. The scrub particles were actually really tiny and gentle, and the wash felt really moisturising. My skin felt super bright and plump after using this, and had far less dry patches. A new fave!
Purity Wash: 4/5
I’d call this one a bog standard, reliable face wash. It smells lovely and makes my skin feel nice, clean and matte without drying it out. There’s not much more to say about this one, as it doesn’t do anything miraculous to my face, but it does what it say in the tin and creates a lovely, fresh base for my makeup in the mornings.
All in all, I think these products are a great budget buy. I like that they’re also not advertised to wash makeup off, as this makes the lazy me more likely to use these to double cleanse!
Have you tried these?
